Sabu Thomas is an Indian professor, currently serving as the vice-chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala. He is a full professor of Polymer Science and Engineering at the School of Chemical Sciences, a position he has held since March 25, 1998. Thomas has previously held several significant academic roles, including Pro-Vice Chancellor (August 31, 2017 - August 31, 2018) and Director of the School of Chemical Science (November 1, 2010 - December 31, 2013). He also served as Hon. Director of the International & Inter-University Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at various times.
