Saburo Takemoto was a Japanese manga artist born on February 17, 1941, in Masuda, Shimane Prefecture. From a young age, he admired Osamu Tezuka and began drawing comics. After moving to Kyoto during his middle school years, he initially worked at a waterworks bureau while submitting manga, debuting as a rental comic artist. Later, he moved to Tokyo to pursue a professional manga career and worked under notable artists. He was known for his work on 'Shikakunin Fujieda Ume-an' and continued to create until his last days.
