Sada Abe was a Japanese geisha and prostitute known for her infamous crime in which she murdered her lover, Kichizo Ishida, by strangulation on May 18, 1936. Following the murder, she mutilated his body and carried his severed penis and testicles with her in her kimono. This heinous crime captured national attention and is one of the most notorious cases in modern Japanese history, inspiring numerous films, novels, and philosophical discussions. After serving five years in prison, Abe wrote her autobiography.
