Justice Saddik Abdullahi Mahuta served as the longest-serving chief judge in Katsina State, Nigeria from 1991 until 2013. During his tenure, he administered oaths of office to the civilian governors of Katsina State, starting with Alhaji Sa'idu Barda in 1991 and ending with Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Shema in 2011. He was born on May 24, 1948, in Mahuta village, Katsina State, and his father held the title of Galadiman Katsina. His legacy is intertwined with the traditional governance in Katsina Emirate.
