He began his karate journey with his brother in 1995 at Rasht Electric Club under the guidance of Hossein Navidi, focusing on SKI Shotokan style. After five years, he joined Yadegar-e Emam Club to compete internationally under Massoud Rahnama. His notable achievements include winning his first international medal, a gold, in Cyprus in 2005, and becoming the only Gilani gold medalist at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
