Şahin Tağı oğlu Səfərov (1928-1995) was an Azerbaijani literary scholar, critic, and professor. He earned his Doctorate in Philology in 1983 and became a professor in 1987. He served as the editor-in-chief of 'Azərbaycan müəllimi' from 1972 to 1992 and later directed the 'Azərbaycan dünyası' publishing house. Səfərov was also the editor of the 'Şəhriyar' newspaper until his death. Additionally, he was a deputy in the Baku City Soviet, recognized for his contributions to education and literature.
