Said Mahmoudi is a Swedish emeritus professor of international law at Stockholm University, born on January 6, 1948, in Tehran. He served as a diplomat at the Iranian embassy in Stockholm from November 1974 to May 1981. He earned his doctorate in law in October 1987 and became a professor in international law in April 1999. Mahmoudi was dean of the Faculty of Law from January 2009 to December 2011 and received the Teacher of the Year award in 2017. His research focuses on maritime law, international environmental law, and the use of force in international relations.
