Saïd Mekbel, also known by the pseudonym Missmar Juh, was an Algerian satirical journalist, born on March 25, 1940, in Béjaïa, Algeria. He was the founder and former director of the French-language daily newspaper Le Matin. Mekbel was assassinated on December 3, 1994, at the El-Hadjar Bridge in the capital city, Algiers. His work and contributions to journalism, particularly in satire, made him a notable figure in Algerian media.
