Said Nafa, born on April 1, 1953, in the village of Beit Jann, is a Palestinian Arab activist, lawyer, and politician. He faced mandatory conscription as a Druze citizen in Israel, leading to multiple imprisonments. Nafa co-founded the Druze Initiative Committee in the 1970s and has been active in promoting Druze identity within the Arab community. He was elected to the Knesset in 2007 and advocates for Druze rights and against forced military service. Nafa is also a published writer, having released several collections of short stories and focused on Arab Druze history.
