Sakae Endo (March 17, 1906 - June 1997) was a Japanese poet and children's literature writer from Shinjō, Aichi Prefecture. He was the founder of the children's literature magazine 'Wakaki'. Endo worked as a teacher at Miyoshi Junior High School from 1947 to 1967 while also engaging in painting. His sister, Inako Endo, was also an artist who created a large oil painting inspired by his poem 'Iku Haru.'
