Sakine Cansız (1958 - January 9, 2013) was a prominent Kurdish revolutionary and armed guerrilla leader. She was one of the co-founders of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) alongside Abdullah Öcalan. Cansız played a significant role in the struggle for Kurdish rights and was recognized as a key figure in the movement.
