Sakyong Mipham, born Osel Rangdrol Mukpo in 1962, is the head of the Shambhala Buddhist lineage and Shambhala International, a global network of meditation centers and related organizations founded by his father, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Recognized as the second Sakyong, he blends Eastern and Western perspectives in his teachings on meditation and social transformation. Mipham Rinpoche has initiated humanitarian projects and authored several books, including 'The Shambhala Principle' released on May 7, 2013. He is also known as a poet, artist, and athlete.
