Saleemul Huq (October 2, 1952 - October 28, 2023) was a British-Bangladeshi scientist and climate expert. He served as a senior fellow at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and as director of the Bangladesh Center for Climate Change and Development. Recognized for his contributions to climate science, he was selected as one of Nature's 10 in 2022. He actively participated in all 24 UN climate conferences held up to 2019, contributing significant insights and knowledge to global climate discussions.
