Saliha Abid Hussain (1913 - 1988) was an Indian writer in Urdu literature, recognized as one of the prominent authors of modern Urdu novels and children's literature. She authored notable works such as Azra, Rekhta, Yadgare Haali, and Jaane Walon Ki Yaad Aati Hai. In 1983, she was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her biography, titled 'Saliha Abid Hussain', written by Sughra Mehdi, was published in 1993. Her writings often addressed issues related to women's rights.
