Salma Jahani is an Afghan singer born on November 27, 1952, in Kabul. She gained fame in the late 1970s by recording three albums with her cousin Ahmad Wali. Salma is recognized as the first singer to perform the well-known Nauroz song 'bia ke borem ba Mazar,' which brought her overnight success. The song, attributed to master Ghulam Hossein, is popular not only during the Iranian New Year but also during the Tulip Festival in Masar-e Sharif, celebrated for 40 days. Renowned artists like Sarban and Googoosh have sung this song as well.
