Salvatore Biondo is an Italian mafioso from Palermo, born on February 28, 1956. Affiliated with Cosa Nostra and nicknamed 'il lungo' to distinguish him from his cousin, he was linked to the San Lorenzo district under boss Salvatore Biondino. Convicted for his involvement in various murders, including that of agent Emanuele Piazza and the preparation for the Capaci massacre that killed Judge Giovanni Falcone, he has been serving a life sentence since his arrest in February 1996, currently held in Secondigliano, Naples.
