Samantha Retrosi is a former American luger born on December 12, 1985, in Saratoga. She was a junior champion in 2002 and 2003 and competed internationally from 2002 to 2007. In 2005, she secured a fourth place at the Junior World Championships, narrowly missing out on a medal. Her best World Cup season was 2005/06, achieving notable placements in Lake Placid. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, she suffered a severe fall but did not sustain serious injuries. Retrosi retired in June 2007 and began studying sociology at George Mason University.
