Samiyah Faris is a Palestinian writer and journalist, born to a Jordanian father and a Palestinian mother in Jerusalem. She studied journalism and media, participating in numerous media courses across Arab and Western countries. Faris worked at the Al-Fajr newspaper and served as an editor for the literary magazine Al-Fajr. She also contributed to Palestinian Radio and Television as a program host and writer. As a cultural and media activist, she co-founded the Palestinian Journalists' Union. Faris has published several children's story collections and has been a prominent advocate for Arab nationalist thought.
