Sammy Kipkosgei Chumba is a Kenyan long-distance runner born on August 9, 1978. He achieved significant success in road running, winning the Paris 20 km twice, in 2003 and 2004. Chumba demonstrated his marathon capabilities with a second-place finish at the 2007 Utrecht Marathon, completing the race in 2:11:22. Earlier that year, he won the Marrakech Marathon. In 2008, he captured victory again at the Utrecht Marathon, running a time of 2:12:06.
