Sampat Prakash Kundu (1937-2023) was a Kashmiri nationalist and trade unionist, notable for championing the rights of the working class in Kashmir. He held key leadership roles, including Chairman of the J&K Trade Union Centre and State President of Hind Mazdoor Sabha. Prakash actively advocated for equitable treatment of government employees and teachers. He rose as a leader during the 1980s amid violence that displaced many Kashmiri Pandits, working to raise awareness of their plight. Following increased militancy, he relocated to Jammu, continuing his activism from there.
