Samuel Igun is a former Nigerian triple jumper and high jumper born on February 28, 1938, in Warri. He competed in the 1960 and 1964 Olympics, finishing without qualifying in 1960 and placing 15th in high jump in 1964. At the 1965 African Games, he excelled by winning gold in both jumping events. At the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, he secured a gold medal in triple jump and a silver in high jump. He also competed in the 1968 Olympic Games, where he did not advance past the first round in triple jump.
