Samuel Ioraer Ortom is a Nigerian politician, businessman, and philanthropist who served as the Minister of State for Trade and Investments. He was elected as the governor of Benue State in 2015, representing the All Progressives Congress, but later defected to the People's Democratic Party. Ortom was re-elected on 29 May 2019 and his tenure ended on 29 May 2023, being succeeded by Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia.
