Samvel Meliksetyan was an Armenian Soviet veterinarian, born on December 15, 1907, in Gerkhana, within the Kars Province of the Russian Empire. He served in the military as a colonel and went on to earn a Doctorate in Veterinary Sciences in 1962, followed by a professorship in 1964. Meliksetyan passed away on January 31, 1992, in Yerevan, Armenia. He made significant contributions to veterinary medicine in the Soviet Union.
