Sanath Nishantha Perera, commonly known as Sanath Nishantha, was a prominent Sri Lankan politician who served as a member of parliament and Minister of State. Elected from the Puttalam District in 2015 and 2020, he was a member of the United People's Freedom Alliance and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. Nishantha held the position of Minister of State for Water Supply from September 8, 2022, until his passing on January 25, 2024, and also served as Minister of State for Fisheries during Gotabaya Rajapaksa's presidency.
