Sandro B. Vitiello is a former Italian-American football placekicker, born on February 21, 1958, in Broccostella, Italy. He moved to Long Island, New York, at age 7. Vitiello played soccer in high school before transitioning to football at UMass. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1980 NFL draft and played two games in his rookie season. Later, he played for the Washington Federals in the USFL, where he had a more extensive career, participating in a total of 10 games across two seasons before retiring in 1984.
