She competed in the women's flyweight category and achieved significant success, winning a gold medal in the Flyweight−47 kg division at the 1996 Asian Taekwondo Championships held in Melbourne, Australia. Additionally, she earned a bronze medal in the 51-kg division at the 2000 Asian Taekwondo Championships in Hong Kong, and she also represented Nepal in the 2004 Summer Olympics, where she finished in seventh place.
