Sara Barber, born on January 25, 1941, was a Canadian swimmer who competed in the 1956 and 1960 Olympics. She placed seventh in the 100m backstroke and eighth in the 100m butterfly in Melbourne, and was part of the 4x100m freestyle relay team finishing fifth. Jenkins won three silver medals at the 1959 Pan American Games and was recognized at the 1958 and 1962 British Empire Games. After retiring in 1962, she worked as a sport teacher and social worker. Jenkins passed away on October 22, 2020, due to Alzheimer's disease.
