Sara Ingeborg Schwardt (born Ljungcrantz) is a Swedish author born on June 15, 1958, in Skänninge, Östergötland. She began a correspondence with Astrid Lindgren at the age of twelve, requesting a film role, which led to nearly 30 years of letters between them. This correspondence was published in 2012 as 'Dina brev lägger jag under madrassen,' translated into several languages. Schwardt's second book, 'Kära Astrid, det är jag igen – Brev utan svar,' was released in 2017. She also worked as a tour guide and exhibition manager in Mariannelund.
