Sarah Sheard is a Canadian novelist born on February 13, 1953, in Toronto, Ontario. She made her literary debut with the novel 'Almost Japanese' in 1985, and her latest work, a political fiction, was released in 2012. Besides writing, she has taught creative writing at Glendon College and served on the editorial board of Coach House Press. She has also been a writing mentor at Humber College since 1995. In addition to her literary pursuits, Sheard is a practicing psychotherapist specializing in couple and family counseling.
