Sargis Hovsepyan is a retired Armenian international football player born on November 2, 1972, in Yerevan. He played as a defender for the Armenian national team and ended his career at FC Kotayk Ararat. Hovsepyan served as the captain of the national team for an extended period, earning 131 caps and scoring two goals, with his debut on October 14, 1992, against Moldova. He retired on November 14, 2012, just before turning 40, becoming the last member of the senior national team to retire. He was appointed as the manager of the national team a month later.
