Saud bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, known as Saud al-Faisal, was a Saudi politician and diplomat, serving as the third Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1975 until 2015. Born on January 2, 1940, in Taif, he was the son of King Faisal. An alumnus of Princeton University, he originally worked in the Ministry of Petroleum. His tenure as Foreign Minister made him the longest-serving foreign minister in the world upon retirement. He also held various roles including advisor to King Salman and participated in numerous Arab and Islamic committees. He passed away on July 9, 2015.
