Rantamäki illustrated book covers and short stories, later working in animation. He led FA-animaatio and founded Stemma Filmi. Known for his work on 'Vodkaa, komisario Palmu,' he received a Jussi honor. Working in Barcelona and returning to Finland, he produced advertisements and documents. He ran production companies with his wife and was involved in projects until his retirement from animation in the mid-1990s.
