Saumitra Khan is an Indian politician born on December 8, 1980. He has represented the Bishnupur constituency in the Lok Sabha since 2014. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2019 and serves as the president of BJP's Yuva Morcha in West Bengal as of December 2020. Khan began his political career with the Indian National Congress and was elected to the West Bengal Assembly from the Kotulpur constituency. He switched to the ruling Trinamool Congress in 2013 before moving to the BJP in 2019, amidst controversy regarding allegations of financial misconduct.
