Metropolitan Saba, born Zaza Gigiberia on September 28, 1966, in Senaki, Georgia, is the Metropolitan of the Khoni and Samtredia Diocese. He chairs the Religious Tourism (Pilgrimage) Department. He graduated from the Georgian Polytechnic Institute in 1991 and studied at the theological seminary from 1990 to 1992. He was tonsured as a monk in 1991 and became a bishop in 1996. He served various roles within the Georgian Patriarchate and was elevated to the rank of metropolitan in April 2008.
