Sayeed Salahudeen, born as Syed Mohammad Yusuf Shah, is the head of the Mujahideen party, a Kashmiri separatist armed organization. He leads a coalition of militant groups against India known as the United Jihad Council, advocating for the merger of Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan. He has vowed to prevent any peaceful resolution to the Kashmir conflict and has stated intentions to turn the Kashmir Valley into a graveyard for Indian forces. On June 26, 2017, he was designated a global terrorist by the U.S. Department of State.
