Sayyad Aran, also known as Sayyad Salahlı, is an Azerbaijani public and political figure born on January 15, 1952, in Imishli. He holds a PhD in philology (2005) and is one of the founders of the New Azerbaijan Party. Aran served as an extraordinary and plenipotentiary envoy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and was a deputy in the National Assembly from 1995 to 2005. He has also held the position of the first deputy chairman of the State Committee for Religious Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan from November 16, 2012, to July 15, 2024, and is recognized as a distinguished journalist in Azerbaijan.
