He took office on March 16, 2020, after serving as a Judge of the Lahore High Court. However, his term ended when he resigned on January 10, 2024, amid misconduct proceedings. The Supreme Judicial Council found him guilty of misconduct and recommended his removal, which was formalized by the President of Pakistan on March 20, 2024. As a result, he lost his title and post-retirement benefits.
