Scott F. Pladel is a former American bobsledder born on November 25, 1962, in Albany, New York. He was active in triple jump in high school and at Northeastern University. In 1985, he joined the US bobsled team and competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, where he placed 16th in the four-man bobsled event with his team. Pladel ended his sports career in 1992, later returning to Northeastern University to become a physician assistant, specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine.
