Seán French was an Irish politician who served as a member of the Fianna Fáil party. Born on 8 November 1931 and passing away on 25 December 2011, he was a Teachta Dála (TD) representing Cork from 1967 until 1982. He won his seat during a by-election and was re-elected five times, losing his seat in 1982. Additionally, he served as Lord Mayor of Cork from 1976 to 1977 and ran for a European Parliament seat in 1979 without success. His father also held similar political roles.
