Seberiano Ormaza Unamuno was a Basque politician and activist born on May 11, 1925, in Bermeo. He became the president of EAE-ANV shortly after a coup in February 1981. Known for his open, nationalist, socialist, and democratic ideals, Ormaza significantly contributed to Basque independence and workers' rights advocacy during and after Franco's regime. He served in various political roles, including a member of the national committee of Herri Batasuna and a councilor in Bermeo. He was honored for his lifelong dedication to the Basque Country shortly before his death on February 9, 2010.
