Seiichi Eto is a Japanese politician and member of the Liberal Democratic Party. Born on October 1, 1947, in Ōita, he graduated from Oita University. Eto has served in various political roles, including terms in the Ōita city assembly and prefectural assembly. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1990. After several electoral wins and losses, he became a member of the House of Councillors in 2007. In 2019, he was appointed Minister of State for Okinawa and Northern Territories Affairs in the 4th Abe cabinet. He is affiliated with the Nippon Kaigi lobby.
