Seimei Tsuji (January 4, 1927 - April 15, 2008) was a Japanese ceramic artist known for his work in pottery, specifically using Shigaraki clay. He was influenced by his father's love for antiques and started learning pottery from a young age. Tsuji aimed to express the aesthetic of 'bright simplicity' in his creations. He built a kiln in Tama City, Tokyo. In honor of his posthumous legacy, an exhibition titled 'The World of Seimei Tsuji: The Beauty of Bright Simplicity' was held at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, in 2017.
