Seishi Kattō is a Japanese director, producer, and animator born on October 17, 1938. He began his career early by serializing a four-panel manga during junior high school. After working at Otogi Production, he joined Studio Zero and contributed to popular series like 'Obake no Q-Taro' and 'Perman.' Moving to Germany in 1969, he produced comics and animations, including the German version of 'Sesame Street.' Notably, he took over production of 'Pingu' after Otmar Gutmann's passing and collaborated on the animated film 'Benny the Bossu.'
