She achieved notable success in boxing, becoming a Vice-World Champion in 2005 and a Vice-European Champion in 2009. Yağcı participated in early international women's boxing competitions and won multiple medals, including bronzes at world championships in 2001 and 2008, and a silver in 2005. She also received medals at European Championships, including silvers and bronzes. After her competitive career, she worked as a physical education teacher.
