Senik Mkrtchyan was an Armenian scientist in the field of computing technology, born on January 2, 1935, in Nor Armavir, Armenian SSR, USSR. He earned a Doctorate in Technical Sciences in 1976 and became a professor in 1979. He was a member of the Armenian Engineering Academy and the International Engineering Academy, recognized in 1994 and 1997, respectively. In 1996, he was honored as an Honored Inventor of Armenia. He passed away on December 25, 2012.
