Senkū Narita was a Japanese haiku poet born on March 31, 1921, in Aomori City. After contracting pulmonary tuberculosis, he returned to his hometown where he began composing haiku during his recovery. He was involved with several haiku organizations, including Matsutōsha and Aomori Haiku Association. Narita relocated to Goshokawara in 1946, focusing on agriculture while pursuing his passion for haiku. He contributed to various publications and became an influential figure in the haiku community, serving as an editor and mentor until his passing on November 17, 2007.
