Sergey Norairi Nazaretyan, born on March 30, 1948, in Harich, Artik region, Armenian SSR, USSR, is an Armenian geophysicist. He earned a Doctorate in Earth Sciences in 1988 and became a Professor in 1999. Nazaretyan worked at the Institute of Geophysics and Engineering Seismology of the Armenian Academy of Sciences from 1974 to 1978. He is also a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences since 2000.
