Seth Ferranti is an American journalist and writer born on January 2, 1972, in Lemoore, California. He gained notoriety in 1993 when he was arrested for drug trafficking after being on the U.S. Marshals Service's Most Wanted list for two years. Ferranti organized a fake suicide to evade capture in 1991 and was sentenced to 304 months in prison for LSD trafficking. While incarcerated, he began his journalism career and later launched the blog Gorilla Convict in 2005. He was released in 2014 after serving 21 years.
