Setsuko, Princess Chichibu (born Setsuko Matsudaira) was a Japanese princess born on September 9, 1909, in Walton-on-Thames. She married Prince Yasuhito Chichibu and served as an ambassador for Japan during a European tour in 1937, representing Japan at the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. She enjoyed her time in the United States and England, but was saddened by Japan's involvement in World War II. She passed away in Tokyo on August 25, 1995. Her parents were Tsuneo Matsudaira and Nobuko Nabeshima.
