Severino Araújo de Oliveira was a Brazilian musician, composer, conductor, and clarinetist born on April 23, 1917, in Limoeiro and passed away on August 3, 2012, in Rio de Janeiro. He was a pioneer in blending jazz elements with Brazilian choro music. He began his musical studies at six, arranged music by twelve, and wrote carnival hits by sixteen. He led the Orquesta Tabajara from 1938 until 2006 and composed several choro classics, including 'Espinha de Bacalhau' and 'Chorinho Pra Você'.
